Definitely not a singer worthy of wearing the American Idol crown, he WAS voted into the Top 24 by Simon and company -- so there was always a chance he could win, deserving or not.
I'm glad he's gone, but he was interesting to watch, and at 17 years old was able to withstand withering criticism and a rabid public with plenty of class.
I wish him the best.
By the way, I don't think Melinda should even be in the competition. She's miles ahead of everyone because she's a PROFESSIONAL! Hello??? Let's hear it for Jordin or Blake!
