Who Cares? Who The Hell is Billy Joe Shaver?

I hear pap shot someone.

Police have issued arrest warrants for country singer
Billy Joe Shaver after he shot and wounded a man outside a Texas bar.

The victim was shot in the cheek but was talking and alert afterward, police said. He was hospitalized.

I'm bored today. OBVIOUSLY. And... Yahoo! News has this story front and center like anyone gives a shit.

hellocolleenie-
anonymous has obviousy met Billy Joe, and so have I. He is truly one of the kindest individuals you will EVER meet. If you've never met him, and you didn't witness the incident, please wait to get the facts before forming an opinion about this incident, or about his character. From my personal experience, and the accounts of others who have seen him interact with drunks, I believe it would take a lot to get him to do anything other than walk away from them. If we weren't there, we don't know the circumstances. This incredible human being is innocent until proven guilty.

OMG are you people serious?!?! Really? Let me guess, you're all members of the NRA, right?

I wouldn't shoot anyone EVER because I don't have access to a gun. Nothing good can come from them...

I just wanted to say...I'm back on the blog. I didn't know where to start since I've missed so much, so I figure the beginning of April is a good place.

Billy Joe Shaver is indeed a nice man, but he's also no stranger to rough bars and honkytonks. He'd be the last guy to claim sainthood.
The moral of this story is a cliche; don't bring a knife to a gun fight.

Why isn't this applicable to Howard K. Stern?
