Sharon Stone wanted Basic Instinct 2 to be a sex-fest. The gorgeous actress, who shot to fame after seductively opening her legs during a scene in the original film, says she was disappointed that censors have toned it down. She told Esquire magazine: “I was coming from a really kinky place. I saw a rough cut of the film and I wanted more nudity and more edgy verbal things.
“I was like: ‘Where’s all the crazy stuff I did? What are we toning it down for?’ “Let’s face it, this is going to be my last hurrah doing something like this and isn’t Basic Instinct 2 supposed to be even baser still?" [Source]

I give her credit for trying to end her career with the movie that was the basis for her career. I think she should've just shot out of the spotlight with a giant, sleazy porn movie. Let's face it....she was born in the 1950's. She still looks good but most people who want to see her in an orgy don't really want to see her act. Plus, this is a sequel to a movie that happened in 1992. I can barely remember yesterday and they want me to watch a sequel to a movie that came out when I was 12. I'd be going for the sex not the storyline...like I care where Catherine Tramell is 14 years later!
