Spendin' Cheese

Ever wonder just what those 70 million dollar film budgets really pay for? I, for one, assumed that actor's salaries, production costs, marketing and advertising, special effects etc., and the likes were what absorbed most of those big budgets. WRONG! The Smoking Gun obtained several internal budget documents that detail exactly where this money is being funneled, and ironically, I'm not the slightest bit surprised.

"Unbreakable," a film by M. Night Shyamalan touted a budget total of... GET READY... $73,243,106.00 dollars. That's right, over 73 million dollars, including $3500.00/week for a personal trainer for Bruce Willis (at 10.2 weeks, that equals $35,700), $84,056 for a make-up artist, $1400 per diem (that's how much Brucey-poo was allowed to spend per week... u know, as extra spending cash, not including his 20 million dollar salary), and $111,000.00 for Samuel L. Jackson's golf membership while filming. Hmm! Not to mention 500,000 dollars carved out of that budget for Bruce's private jet. [source]
