Ashanti canceled a performance in Johannesburg on Saturday after her 20-year old cousin, Quinshae Snead, was killed in a car accident by a teenage drunk driver. The 17-year old driver of the vehicle had been arrested and charged with driving under the influence, and is set to appear in court soon.

25-year-old Ashanti will escort the body of her cousin back to the United States today.
