Why Don't These Rich People Hire Drivers?

Beer baron Peter Coors' driver's license has been revoked by a hearing officer who ruled the executive had been driving under the influence of alcohol, which I think is hysterical because I never knew Coors beer could get you drunk. Coors, 59, had consumed a beer about 30 minutes before leaving a wedding then rolled through a stop sign a block from his home in Golden, CO and an officer stopped him in his driveway. In one breath test, he registered a blood alcohol level of 0.073 percent. In a second, 20 minutes later, he registered 0.088. How does that work...is the cop like "oh, you drank a beer 30 minutes before leaving, well then let's wait around and administer tests after your body has a chance to process this ok?" As the cop is thinking "I SO want to be the cop that arrests Peter Coors for DUI." In Colorado a blood alcohol count of 0.05 results in a driving while impaired charge, while a count of 0.08 results in driving under the influence.

One beer? One Coors? You know that I think? I think Peter was cheating on his beer company. I mean Coors/Miller and driving go hand-in-hand. Those are the brands of beer that you drink when you know you have to drive. Hypothetically, of course. I don't drink and drive. In Colorado, drivers with no previous alcohol convictions are usually held to have driven while impaired, rather than the more serious driving while under the influence. A DWI finding can result in a loss of driving privileges for 90 days; DUI can result in suspension for a year.Peter Coors "has never even had a moving violation," said Coors spokeswoman. They're just being extra hard on him because when a beer is named after your family, you really should know better. I guess if you're going to be a millionaire on a bicycle, Colorado is the best place for that kind of thing. [source]
