YOUR 15 MINUTES: No Mo Grillz

A school district in Texas has expanded its dress codes to include mouths. Students may no longer wear mouth jewelry known as "grillz" - shiny teeth caps. "The district is having to respond to fads because they've become distracters or a safety hazard for those around them," said Malcolm Turner, the district's executive director of student services. But students said the body modification is simply self-expression. "Really, a grill is just like an earring. It's fashion," said junior Devonte Wright, 16. But school officials said they hoped to teach students that life would require them to follow specific regulations in specific settings. Oh come on, Texas just doesn't care about black people.

Poor, sweet, misguided Devonte...Nelly doesn't even know how many teeth he's supposed to have in his grill (30 on the top and 30 on the bottom is too many), he proves it by releasing a song before checks his facts and now 16 year olds want to be like a man who doesn't know how many teeth are in his own mouth, gets too many metal caps for his teeth and sings about it. Nice defense, but the day an earring impedes communication, I will stop wearing it. Of course the real reason the school is banning them is because they're ghetto and stupid. The students should consider themselves lucky -- they won't have to look back at their high schools pictures and be embarrassed by their face. ..at least not for this reason. [source]
