An Irish magazine and a tabloid have linked photos of Tiger Woods’ wife of two years, Elin Nordegren, to various pornography sites a la Heather Mills McCartney and he is pissed because he says it's not her. She does have a twin. This is not the first time Rumors of a questionable past for Elin have circulated. Hmmm…and all this time I thought she was a sweet, innocent Swedish au pair.

In its September issue The Dubliner magazine wrote about Elin Nordegren: "Most American golfers are married to women who cannot keep their clothes on in public," the magazine wrote. "Is it too much to ask that they leave them at home for the Ryder Cup? Consider the evidence. Tiger Woods' wife can be found in a variety of sweaty poses on porn sites." The Irish Daily Start gave it front-page treatment Wednesday with the headline, "Tiger's Fury at Naked Pictures." Inside the tabloid, it reprinted photos of Nordegren in a bikini, along with a nude photo of a woman purported to be Nordegren. Woods vehemently denied it was his wife when it first came out three years ago.

Tiger claims his wife “was a bikini model in the past but to link her to pornography is unacceptable.’’ Posing half-naked: Acceptable to Tiger Woods. Posing naked: unacceptable. Ah yes, that fun, fine line between “bikini modeling” and “pornography.” …it’s all just semantics...

Let’s take a look at some definitions:

Pornography (n.):
1. the depiction of erotic behavior (as in pictures or writing) intended to cause sexual excitement 2. material (as books or a photograph) that depicts erotic behavior and is intended to cause sexual excitement

Bikini (n.):
1. a woman's scanty two-piece bathing suit

Model (v.):
To display by wearing, using, or posing with

So, are Tiger Woods’ wife’s sexy photos pornographic or innocent bikini-modeling pictures? Based on the definitions above, the answer appears to that lies in the intent of the bikini and photo. For example, if the pictures in question look like this (I'm not convinced these are her): I’m going to have to go with pornography.

But if all of her pictures look like this: I’ll buy the “innocent bikini model” line. Although most sane people would find these pictures have the ability to cause sexual excitement.
