Reason number 2,394 Kanye Drives me Crazy

I think it's just fine that Kanye won three Grammy awards. His album produced a number of hit songs. I'd be even more ok with it if Kanye's ego hadn't inflated to the size of a Thanksgiving Day parade helium balloon. I believe he really thinks he's the new Jesus son of God. He has such a distorted sense of entitlement --for instance, while the other nominees for Album of the Year sat smiling as their name was called, showing they were just happy to be nominated, Kanye sat with his face in his hands as if his life was going to end. Fortunately he didn't win that award. Unfortunately, it really didn't put him in his place because he's still acting like a total self-absorbed asshole.

Case in point: Backstage at the Grammy, Kanye held up an "I told you so sign" and greeted the reporters with "What up?" He then went on a 5 minute rampage that included kicking someone off their cell phone (his presence apparently deserves undivided attention), telling a man from Mexico City to speak English and accusing the Grammys of not wanting to give Album of the Year to a rapper. He believes he didn't win it due to a "technicality, not because he didn't deserve it." West says he's going to "keep on delivering albums of the year that are so undeniable to the point where you finally let a rapper come up and accept this award." (which almost makes me wish he just won so we don't have to hear him anymore)

Also, he apparently thinks his album Late Registration "broke a lot of boundaries. A lot of things that weren't done in hip-hop before. The images and the messages, it sounded like a score that needed a film to it." Talk about delusions of grandeur.

He then went on to blame his behavior on drinking too much wine. "Bono had this wine backstage. 'This is the best wine Kanye,"' West said in an fake Irish accent. I blame it on being an egotisitcal prick.
