Ms. Simpson Goes to Washington

Jessica Simpson is coming to Washington, DC today to lobby members of Congress on behalf of Operation Smile, a non-profit venture offering free plastic surgery for disadvantaged children overseas with facial deformities….BUT she won't be spending any time with fellow airhead Texan, President Bush. She was invited gala fund-raiser of the National Republican Congressional Committee but turned down the offer even after she was offered some private face time with Bush. Jessica said she didn't want to politicize the agenda of the non-partisan organization. Of course those were my words and not hers. Jessica Simpson doesn’t talk like that. You know the words politicize and non-partisan don’t exist in her vocabulary. When they told her she was going to “lobby Congress in Washington for some money” she probably thought she was going to the state of Washington to sit on a couch in an office lobby, meet some guy named Congress and ask him money.
