Where do they find these women? Billy Joel's wife looks like she's officially gone from a little West Virginia bumpkin to his latest uptown girl. Katie Lee Joel is about 25 years-old; which is 31 years younger than Billy who is 6 years older than Katie's dad. Katie is also only 5 years older than Billy's daughter with Christie Brinkley -- talk about some generation gaps! She's a stepmother to a girl she basically could've gone to high school with. How West Virginia-ish of her. I wonder if she used to drive around in high school listening to OLD Billy Joel songs from the 80's like I did. That must be weird for her.

Anyway, she appears to have shed some weight going from average sized girl to the typical 15+ pounds underweight necessary to get yourself on television. Katie is the host with the most (and by most I mean most boring personality I've seen on TV) on Bravo's new show Top Chef airing Wednesdays. I don't care if you're the most poised 25 year-old ever, which I was just last year when I was 25, there are some serious cross generational questions that exist in a that type of relationship. Even though she's a little dull on-screen, I actually feel bad making negative comments about her because I think if we knew each other in real life she's someone I'd be friends with.
