Can Her Career Be Saved By The Bell?

Saved By The Bell's Lisa Turtle (Lark Voorhies) is suing the National Enquirer to gain more attention to her has-been ass. Ahem. I meant to say Lark Voorhies is suing the National Enquirer because they published a story about her having a drug problem. Don't all child/teen stars end up with a drug problem or two? What's the big deal? The suit says Lark, whom it describes as a "famous and popular actress," lost several "potential acting and hosting jobs" after the tabloid published a June 2005 article that said she was hospitalized for a cocaine addiction. Try famous and popular in 1989. I might be able to settle with them saying "she once was a famous and popular actress who now occasionally guest stars on cheesy sitcoms on UPN." The only potential job I can think of that she might've been qualified for is being one of Howie Mandel's briefcase girls on Deal or No Deal...and I don't think they'd have a problem if she had a coke problem. You know those girls have a kilo hidden in one of those briefcases for the show's afterparty. Have no fear, Lark has a doctor's note saying that she has no addiction and wasn't hospitalized. Chances are she probably stole a prescription notepad from her doctor and forged it. Whatever. At least National Enquirer can spare the money it will take to keep her house from going into foreclosure. Please, you know she's running out of Saved by the Bell money...it's been like 13 years!
