Discount Damage Control?
Brit Brit didn't like the horrid response she received to her eyelash-on-the-loose, gum-chompin', air quote riddled interview with Matt Lauer so she gave her best Britney Spears has-been attempt at damage control:
Spears had a photographer take pretty pictures of her - this time with professional hair, makeup and wardrobe. And despite tearfully begging for privacy, saying she hates media attention, and calling the celebrity weeklies "trash" in the interview, Spears then tried to sell the photos and an "exclusive" interview to those same trashy weeklies for $200,000. There were no takers. OK! finally bought the shots and the interview for a measly $5,000. A rep for the magazine declined comment but did say, "Who doesn't love a discount?" Spears' rep didn't return calls. Meanwhile, Spears' hubby, Kevin Federline, seems to be on a budget. Federline was shopping at Lounge in SoHo on Friday but balked at paying $150 for a T-shirt.
Britney needs a Mariah Carey-esque comeback stat! The recipe: ditch Kev, go away for a while, pop out the next Federfetus, give everyone time to forget about her and then hits us with a new cd and some abs! Or maybe she is just hopeless and we should leave the poor girl alone. She could build herself the world's most expensive mobile home down there in Louisiana, raise them kids and walk around barefoot in a wife-beater with a toothpick hanging out of her mouth. That almost seems easier. [source]

you're right though. if she came back all skinny and hot and ditched k-fed and said "what the hell was i thinking" - i'd even put photos of her back on my myspace like i did in like, umm, 2003.
