Can I Get Yo Digits?

The father of the 1-year-old Malawian boy Madonna is hoping to adopt says wants to get Madonna's digits and ask the aging pop star how his boy is doing.

"I don't have her phone and mailing addresses. All I want is to find out how my son is but I don't know how I can do it," Malawi's Daily Times quotes Yohane Banda as saying. "I only talked to her once at the High Court and I want to talk to her now and find out about my child."

According to the paper, Banda said he doesn't want David (said child) returned to him and asked that human rights groups – who in November were granted permission to help assess Madonna's fitness to adopt – not to interfere with his efforts to contact the singer.

"All I want is to find out how my child is doing and not to have him back," he said.

I'm so confused by this story... I mean, she's adopting him, right? OK, so doesn't that mean that he's three licks of a tootsie roll tootsie pop shy of NOT being this kid's father? It's like, dude, your 15 minutes are up. This kid is about to be Madonna's kid... not yours. Suck it up and take the hundred bucks Madonna stuffed into your back pocket and buy yourself three or four cows and call it a day.
