The Giant Fart Chronicles

Yesterday we reported on the mysterious gas-like odor Monday that stretched across a large part of Manhattan, including Rockefeller Center. The strong odor, detectable from Manhattan's southern tip to well past Central Park, led to some precautionary evacuations, and about a dozen people were taken to hospitals complaining of difficulty breathing. New York is now fingering New Jersey as the source of the stench. New Jersey promptly issued a press statement stating they are considering changing their state motto from "the Garden State" to "the Silent But Deadly State." [source]
